At Red Nova Labs, we build pretty sites. We build sites that are easy to navigate, and we build sites that function well. But before we begin to think about the look, the navigation and the functionality, we think SEARCH.
We ask: What would Google think?
Because without a site that shows up in a search… well, it’s not going to matter how a website looks or functions, because your website is going to be like a party without booze. No one will show.
That’s why we study the searching habits of users and figure out how to make our products searchable through organic search, local search and by utilizing Search Engine Marketing (SEM).
Organic Search
The hierarchy of search begins with organic searches. To make sure a site is showing up in an organic search, we research the keywords that people are searching for a topic or concept. Once we figure out what those keywords are, we can formulate ways to make sure that Google realizes we’re important and ranks us high on those searches.
The next facet of organic search is technical Search Engine Optimization (SEO). The technical side of SEO is making sure that Google and other search engines can crawl your site. Basically, making sure that Google realizes your site exists and understands what it is that your site does.
The final facet of organic search is building links. It’s important that other similar sites are linking back to your site, which tells Google that you are important.
Local Search
Depending on location of the searcher, all searches are different. For example, if you search for “Mexican food,” the results will be different for a person in Kansas City and a person in Los Angeles. To make sure that your website has local relevance, we manage your listings, maps and work with 400-plus citation sources and directories to ensure that Google realizes you are relevant in the locations where you want to show up.
Search Engine Marketing
SEM is like advertising, and like advertising, it costs money. Advertising on Google or search engines is usually done through pay-per-click, which means that every time someone clicks on your link from the destination where you’re paying to be listed, you pay a certain fee for each click.
Through research and our knowledge of search engines, we outline a pay-per-click plan for you that will provide the best return on investment.
