  • Graphic UI Designer

    Color outside the line. Heck, redraw it! That's the way we do it in the Development Lab, and that's the kind of fresh, inventive attitude we want in our Interface Lab as well-drafting up whatever it takes to reach the client's goals. This position is responsible for designing UI look and feel for web-based desktop and mobile solutions. Our designers work closely with the software developers to create attractive, highly usable interfaces. You'll also need a great attitude about feedback/change-e.g. when clients ask to nudge elements two pixels to the left. Commitment to a full-time, direct-hire is required; local candidates only.     Required:

    • A web portfolio that showcases a keen eye for theme, color, layout, balance, flow
    • Minimum 1 year of formal graphic design training
    • Minimum 2 years work experience in web design
    • Mad skills with Adobe CS Photoshop and Illustrator
    • The book Don't Make My Think by Steve Krug in your personal library

    Appreciated:

    • Familiarity with InDesign

  • Front-end Engineer

    Web dev at RedNova Labs is not for the lightly-skilled. As you'll see in Technologies, we develop our own programs as well as using open-source systems, to find and fit the best possible solution to each project. We're looking for an inventive, adaptive mind that can work within a team on a variety of internal and external facing web applications, and have overall responsibility for many of the back-end systems that drive our business.     Required:

    • A web portfolio that demonstrates clean coding across all browsing platforms (Firefox, Safari, Explorer)
    • Minimum 1 year of formal education centered on computer science
    • Minimum 2 years work experience in web development
    • Knowledge of [X]HTML, Javascript and CSS
    • Knowledge of object oriented programming methodologies (especially in PHP)
    • Familiarity with relevant W3C standards and best practices

    Appreciated:

    • Experience in Drupal, WordPress, osCommerce, phpBB and other open source apps / CMSs
    • DBA experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL or similar

  • Online Marketing Intern

    Interested in pursuing a career in marketing? Sharpen your skills and add a punch to your resume at RedNova Labs. In our client-centered atmosphere, interns gain valuable exposure to many facets of marketing, from research and business development to communications and new media. In addition to participating actively in meetings and creative flow, you'll be responsible for market research, search engine marketing and writing/editing communications pieces. Applicants must have a can-do attitude, strong work ethic, good sense of humor, and eagerness to learn/excel. This is an unpaid temporary position; hours are flexible. Be prepared to provide personal references.

    Required:

    • Self-start attitude and ability to work independently
    • Ability to work effectively and comfortably with individuals and groups
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
