New location provides much needed office and conference space to support the business's expanding staff

Red Nova Labs Moves

Kansas City, KS — January 25, 2010 — Red Nova Labs (www.rednovalabs.com), a specialty web development and marketing firm, has settled into a new location in Kansas City, Kansas after moving out of its Corporate Woods headquarters in Overland Park earlier in the month. The new, larger facility will better accommodate the company's growing team of specialists in web development and marketing disciplines.

"Kansas City is an ideal location for a growing web development lab," said Carrie Royce, VP Marketing of Red Nova Labs. "Urbanites sometimes scoff at the idea, but the fact is, we're able to tap into a rich Midwest talent pool of progressive minds in coding and marketing—competitively and affordably. That's not so easily said in 'silicon' sectors like southern California or northern Washington, where demand for technological skills and living space is extremely high. Here, a high-tech start-up has an excellent chance of finding top talent."

Recent additions to the web dev team include front-end developers and code testers. Front-end developers prioritize accessible interfaces between the user and the back-end—a sizeable responsibility in a company that relies on both proprietary and standard programming tools. Code testers update and administer an extensive array of testing suites for analyzing, tuning and monitoring the company's web and mobile applications.

"These additions help round-out our expertise and quality control in both proprietary and off-the-shelf web development solutions," said David Howe, Director of Product Development at Red Nova Labs. "With a more comprehensive base of knowledge, we're better suited to execute on our rapidly expanding business strategies."

The company has also added artistic ingenuity to its marketing bench by hiring Rick Tinney, former founder and partner of Orange Fly Design in Kansas City, as well as a professor and painter. As Red Nova Lab's creative leader, Mr. Tinney imparts over a decade of web and print design experience, including expertise in multimedia and animation. According to Mr. Howe, "Rick's keen understanding of usability in interface design will bridge the gap between marketing and coding. True usability is crucial to the success of our online products."

Other additions to the marketing line-up include search engine optimization (SEO) and editorial content specialists. "Google and other major search engines continuously evolve their strategies and algorithms to stay ahead of black-hat tricks," explains Ms. Royce. "These days, Google can make or break an online venture. SEO, social networking and content specialists are becoming ever more critical to web-centric businesses like ours."

In their offices on Cambridge Circle Drive, Red Nova Labs will continue to offer web and mobile services as an agency, as well as to develop its own web-based business solutions. Most recently, the company launched StorageFront (www.storagefront.com), a self storage search engine and marketing service, and also began Beta testing oBoss (www.oboss.biz), an online beverage supply platform for Kansas's unique four-tier liquor industry.

About Red Nova Labs
Red Nova Labs was founded and self-funded in 2009 as a web development and marketing agency as well as a technology think-tank, creating original, cutting-edge systems for web and mobile. On the service side, the company supports interface design, backend programming and online marketing. On the product side Red Nova Labs invents, builds and launches its own web-based platforms for various applications and vertical markets. To support both business models, its growing team of development engineers conceives resourceful code generators which add practical ease to complex programming—enabling unprecedented speed in creating vibrant, multidimensional environments and utilities. Once a product is launched, each business operates autonomously as an independent unit, with full engineering and marketing support from Red Nova Labs on the back end. The company is open to collaborative opportunities. Visit www.rednovalabs.com for more information.
