  Front-end Engineer

  Web development at Red Nova Labs is not for the lightly-skilled. As you'll see in Techologies, we develop our own programs as well as utilize open-source systems, to find and fit the best possible solution to each project. We're looking for an inventive, adaptive mind that can work within a team on a variety of inward- and outward-facing web applications. Commitment to a full-time, direct-hire role is required; local candidates only. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants the chance to grow and invent with a fresh, fast-paced company.
  
  Required:

  • A web portfolio that demonstrates clean coding across all browsing platforms (Firefox, Safari, Explorer)
  • Minimum 1 year of formal education centered on computer science
  • Minimum 2 years work experience in web development
  • Knowledge of [X]HTML, Javascript and CSS
  • Knowledge of object oriented programming methodologies (especially in PHP)
  • Familiarity with relevant W3C standards and best practices

  Appreciated:

  • Experience in Drupal, WordPress, osCommerce, phpBB and other open source apps / CMSs
  • DBA experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL or similar

  Search Engine Assistant

  Interested in pursuing a career in web marketing? Sharpen your skills here. If you have the right attitude and attention to detail, we'll train you. As an entry-level search engine optimization (SEO) and marketing (SEM) assistant, you'll learn how to increase web traffic, improve search rankings, track analytics, and build online ad campaigns.   Can you write fast? Can you write well? We're looking for talented, highly motivated freelance researcher/writer types. Our writing projects are brief and flexible; we pay by the word on delivery/approval (200 to 1500 words). Assignments include how-to checklists, advice pieces, profiles on people/places, and general interest articles. This is a fine situation for students, full-time moms with kids in school, and other writers looking for a little extra cash.
