Venture Friday Event Reaches 500 Members
Red Nova Labs Sees it as a Sign that the KC Entrepreneurial Scene is Growing
WESTWOOD, KS – Venture Fridays have attracted more than 500 Kansas City entrepreneurs and startup enthusiasts, for their love of fresh business opportunities and open networking.
Since the first Venture Friday was hosted back in 2011, the event has gained impressive popularity. After 24 meetups, startup enthusiasts know the place to go the second Friday of the month: wherever the Red Nova Labs team is hosting Venture Fridays.
Carrie Royce, Red Nova Labs’ CMO, is inspired by the growing membership. “We host Venture Fridays as a way to give back to the community as well as to energize ourselves,” Royce explained. “Entrepreneurs now know they have a promising community here in KC. Venture Fridays give them a relaxed setting to connect with that community.”
The next Venture Friday will take place Friday, October 12 at 4:00 p.m. at Red Nova Labs in Westwood, KS. All those with a flair for entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation are invited, and spots can be reserved on meetup.com/venturefridays. Beer steins and lederhosen are encouraged for this Oktoberfest; a bratwurst roller was purchased specifically for the event. Space is limited.
